Compared to the heavier Momotaro denim fabrics, the 12oz denim is lighter and more breathable, making it an excellent choice for everyday wear in milder climates. Despite its lighter weight, the denim is still robust enough to withstand regular use and offers a smooth texture that feels comfortable against the skin. The fabric is meticulously crafted using only long-staple Zimbabwean cotton and is woven on traditional shuttle looms, giving it a truly authentic and traditional feel.

Momotaro's tight tapered fit is achieved through a snug fit around the waist, hips, and thighs, gradually tapering down to a narrower leg opening. This creates a sleek and modern silhouette that is versatile and complements various outfits.

The jeans are adorned with exceptional details, including custom-engraved iron buttons, a custom-branded natural leather patch, and Momotaro's iconic pink selvedge and inseam, which pay homage to the peach fruit in the legendary Momotaro folktale.

These jeans have a standard sizing. We recommend choosing your usual size. However, as always, we recommend checking the size chart first to find your perfect size. The fabric is sanforized, so there will be no shrinkage. Some people might even go for a smaller size than usual, but only those with very thin legs. The waist will experience the typical stretching seen in sanforized denim. Expect approximately 0.5 to 1 inch of stretching
